A practical good example is the University of Benin, where a student has to read in law faculty for some hours and then walk to the life science department.

This enables your whole body system to function properly during the night class period, at least a minimum of one hour will help the reader during the night, this help to calm the body’s nerves and makes you gain more strength during the night, hence preventing you from sleeping during night class

communication among your teammate can be of great help during night classes, once you feel sleepy, you can call your friends and classmate together and try explaining to them what you’ve read. by doing this you’re reading more at night and won’t feel asleep at night class

Avoid eating heaven meal.

eating or consuming heavy food can be connected to sleep, this is because more energy is required to digest that food and will result in sleeping eyes. This is a major problem in the night class because some students eat a lot and end up sleeping in the night class.

Chewing gum.

if you’re trying to prevent yourself from sleeping, it can be achieved by chewing a piece of gum, especially during night classes. chewing gum helps the system by circulating blood to the head, it makes you be awareness and alert.

And pouring water on your face can disrupt your sleep. you should occasionally wash your face during night classes to enable you to read well.

 

Drink tea or coffee.

Coffee contains a substance known as caffeine, which can create a sensation of increased energy by inhibiting the brain signals that induce sleepiness.

Jotting when reading.

An effective strategy to stay awake and engaged while reading during night classes is to take notes or jot down key points as you study. By actively summarizing and recording what you understand from the materials, you can maintain a heightened level of alertness and reduce the chances of falling asleep easily.
